Advantages of donating blood

Despite the progress that technology has made in most aspects of people's lives it is not possible to produce some kind of artificial blood yet  for the ones who need it. Therefore, people need to realize how important blood donation is as in my opinion people are not properly informed about this very important issue 

and sometimes even refrain from donating blood. ​One of the great 

advantages of blood donation is saving lives. Donating blood can give a second chance in life to someone else because blood donation can save lives of people one might not even know. 
For example, people who need blood to remain alive because of a blood illness, the little amount of blood that is donated can save their lives.Hospitals are in desperate need of blood to save someone's life, as according to the video 

by the Greek Ministry of Health it sometimes takes up to thirty hearts to save one.  Sometimes one blood donor can make a big difference towards saving someone’s life and the constantly rising demand in blood requires an immediate response from people that are able to donate blood.  ​
